We welcome the Government’s Zero Carbon targets, but warn that it may be decades before technology advances to the point where electric batteries, green hydrogen or catenary systems are economic and practical. We argue sustainable renewable fuels can make a material difference to UK carbon emissions right now and set out how Government must provide a clear strategy, bold actions and policies that encourage industry to invest in the enduring sustainable liquid and gas-based fuels of a net zero world.
